Great website As a child we went to visit an aunt and she gave us 2 china tea sets to play with. My mom snatched the sets away from us and told my aunt they were too beautiful for kids to play with. I always had my eye on one of the sets and when she moved she gave me the Japanese one. What's interesting to me is the beautiful pattern, it has dragons on it and there is no marking but when you hold the delicate cup to light there is a image of a Japanese lady's face.
Free Postage. Stunning porcelain cup and saucer featuring a blue bird embellished with gold rimmed blue flowers and foliage pattern. There is another hidden feature in the cup. When you hold the cup up to the light to take the last sip of coffee, you will find a geisha lady image incised in the bottom of the cup.
When my grandmom passed away, it was up to my mom, dad, sister and I to go through her things and figure out what to do with it all. One of the items I picked out for myself was a small tea set. It was neatly put away in a special box. Now I am not any kind of antique expert, so recently I have been curious what the meaning of the writing is under the saucer:.
